Ash

 

Ash wood worktops color ranges from creamy white through light brown.  The heart of Ash wood may be darker olive-brown, its grain is similar to red-oak but without the red tones(that’s why people often call it Ash Oak).  It has a coarse open grain that is generally straight with even textures.

Attributes of Ash wood: A lighter wood that is very tough and hard wearing, but elastic at the same time absorbing shock loads well.

Due to its diverse attributes ash wood used for a wide variety of products from the hard wearing, such tool handles for axes and hammers to those that require strength and flexibility such as bows, tennis rackets, and snooker cues. Coupled with its great strength and flexibility is the fact that it has a very light and attractive grain which makes it a great looking wood for chairs, dinning tables, doors and other architectural features.

Ash wood is also known as mountain ash, European ash or common Ash 

Origin Of Ash Wood:Ash wood(Fraxinus excelsior) is a species of Fraxinus native to most of Europe with the exception of northern Scandinavia and southern Iberia, and also southwestern Asia from northern Turkey east to the Caucasus and Alborz mountains. The northernmost location is in the Trondheimsfjord region of Norway.
