 -> 5. How are your products packaged?
All our products are carefully packaged to ensure they arrive in good condition. If the packaging of your order is damaged please inspect your goods carefully before accepting delivery. Kitchen worktops come wrapped in cellophane. This is not to cut down on protection, costs or the environment. Thin plastic is the ideal form of humidity control for a worktop that will go from cool store, to cold lorry, to warm room. Thick cardboard packaging is too drying for hardwood worktops. Hardwood worktops MUST be laid flat on battens in a well ventilated, low humidity room i.e. no running water, wet plasterwork or tubs of water - for minimum 48 hours BEFORE oiling. Fitting within one week is highly recommended. Hardwood worktops MUST be revolved every 4 days until fitted. |
