Delivery FAQ's

1.  Do you deliver to my area?

We deliver NATIONWIDE throughout MAINLAND UK. We can also deliver to any UK port for onward shipping at the customer's own risk and expense.

2.  Do you deliver to Apartment Buildings?

In most circumstances, YES. However, numerous flights of stairs and/or tight turns may make access difficult. Please tell us if this is the case. Our carrier's actual contract states delivery to kerbside only and we cannot guarantee delivery beyond that. Thankfully, many of the "driver only" carriers we use will, where possible, assist in lifting worktops to your preferred room.

3.  Do you deliver to a PO BOX address?

NO

4.  What if my delivery and billing addresses are different?

Our online ordering system allows you to specify an alternate delivery address to the cardholder's actual address. This service is only possible where the actual cardholder provides proof that the order is to be offloaded at an address other than where the credit/debit card statement is registered. Proof of cardholder's registered address will be required i.e. utility bill showing customer's name and full address. A landline contact telephone number will also be required.

5.  How are your products packaged?

All our products are carefully packaged to ensure they arrive in good condition. If the packaging of your order is damaged please inspect your goods carefully before accepting delivery.

Kitchen worktops come wrapped in cellophane. This is not to cut down on protection, costs or the environment. Thin plastic is the ideal form of humidity control for a worktop that will go from cool store, to cold lorry, to warm room. Thick cardboard packing is too drying for hardwood worktops.

Hardwood worktops MUST be laid flat on battens in a well ventilated, low humidity room i.e. no running water, wet plasterwork or tubs of water - for minimum 48 hours BEFORE oiling. Fitting within one week is highly recommended. Hardwood worktops MUST be revolved every 4 days until fitted.

6.  Can I specify a particular date and time for delivery?

7.  Can I insure my order?

Ownership and liability for your order transfers kerbside so there is usually no need to insure your order in transit. Please read our terms and conditions for more details.

8.  How quickly will my order be delivered?

We aim to deliver your worktop order in 3-5 working days (7-10 days for Scotland, Wales and Home Counties). Deliveries are 8am-6pm. If for any reason we are unable to meet this timescale we will advise you. For full delivery details please visit our Delivery & Returns page.

10.  What should I do if my order is damaged when it arrives?

Every effort is made to deliver your order in the exact same quality checked condition it left the mill. Goods are packaged carefully with end caps and, when not on the mill's own wagons, are transported via fragile goods carriers. Please check your order thoroughly at time of delivery as damage can often be evident in the condition of the packaging. If the goods are damaged, simply sign the driver's paperword "goods damaged - not received" and they will be returned. We will arrange for replacement goods to be sent to you as soon as possible. You are under no obligation to accept damaged goods.
