Maple wood is a straight grained wood with interesting and unusual patterns within the grain. Some of these patterns are described as: wavy, curly, quilted, blistered, fiddle-back burl and bird's-eye and are commonly found in this species.
The colour of Maple wood ranges from the white-cream of the sapwood to the pink tinged heartwood with a medium tone for a classic traditional style.
The hard wearing and long lasting nature of Maple wood is extensively demonstrated in its use for constructing bowling alleys and dance floors. Ideal for heavy use kitchen environments, Maple wood provides a light, natural beauty in addition to its durability.
