Part 2 Installation guide for Timber worksurfaces

Please read this section thoroughly before starting work. It provides advice and sets out the requirements and procedures for installing solid timber worksurfaces.

Second Nature worksurfaces are made from laminated solid hardwood staves with a moisture content 10-11%
at time of manufacture. They are designed to be used in normal, heated, furnished domestic interiors. Timber is a natural material and is affected by changes in temperature and humidity. It expands and contracts naturally across the grain. At worst it can warp, split and rot. Observance of the correct installation procedure carried out in properly conditioned interiors will prevent any problems from occurring.
